A cool front had recently passed bringing with sharper temperatures and northwest winds sifting through the still green cholorophyll-laden leaves. You hear the sound of children fairly low in the background as they enjoy the playground. True stereo recording made with maantz pmd661 and two sennheiser me-66 microphones mounted in tripods.

This chainsaw is brand new. 45cc recording taken at a distance of 30 feet and is unfortunately tarnished at the front with an ambulance siren. Recording gear: zoom h2/n @ 44. 1k/16bit using built-in xy microphones.

Recorder in tuscany, october 2018 near a tree nested by sterlings. Simply used my xiaomi mi 5 which can record stereo by its good microphones and an amazing app found called " amazing mp3 recorder " which suddenly recognizes the xiaomi hardware and records at highest quality possible.

A strong thunder storm passes over the island of bermuda in the atlantic ocean at 4:00am. Ten thunderbolts of varying intensity can be heard against a backdrop of falling rain and singing treefrogs. Useful for tropical sounding rain storm. Recorded with my handheld tascam dr-05 linear pcm handheld stereo recorder as a 24-bit wav file in october 2021.

It's a recording of a man operating a chainsaw in a forest near an underground repair station. I've been biking through the forest whe i heard the chainsaw, so i stopped and recorded 7 minutes of him cutting off branches, tembers and walking around a bit. You can heat the chainsaw, natural forest reverb, sometimes a plane flying by or an undergroud train. The recording was made from around 20~30 meters from the sound source. Recorded with a zoom h2 (rear mics, hi gain, 96/24). Originally a 96khz / 24-bit wav file. Converted to flac using audacity.

Ambience of a night in december. It snowed earlier in the day, with freezing rain after. In this you can hear icy trees crackle as they sway in the wind. A block away, motorists are passing by. Some people yell out. A one-note wind chime is dinging, sometimes another wind chime sounds. Some ice falls, and various other little things happen. . . The soundscape at the bottom of the dried moat of arundel castle in late spring. There's a strong breeze running through the trees, crows calling, an aeroplane, a couple of flies buzz past. I was laying in the sunshine about 10 meters away, falling asleep :). Sound devices mixpre3 and rode svmx, bit of low cut applied (60hz, 12db/oct) and a small amount of higher frequency boost to compensate for the wind cut i had fitted.
